I installed the windows 7 rc1 yesterday. It’s a lot faster than vista. Seems to be working very well. I had a couple hiccups with the sound driver, and some program installs, but all in all I like it a lot.

WinFF seems to run just fine it. I’m running the 64 bit version and it runs in 32bit mode just fine. Well, so far anyways.

Author’s Guild cryies a foul over Kindle’s text to speech

I was reading today about the how the Author’s Guild was complaining they had their right’s violated by Amazon’s Kindle 2 text to speech function, and how it will destroy the Audio book market.

Maybe it will, maybe it won’t. Although history has shown right, wrong or other wise, technology always wins.

You either embrace it and move forward, or reject it and get left behind.

I think Senator Dan Duffy (R 26th District) said it best when he said, “… while all this corruption was going on, this congress voted for three pay raises for the governor..”

That says a lot.

Even Google can’t keep everything.

Google code has policy on it’s open source hosting that you can’t delete prior versions of the downloads. It’s great idea to archive open source code for ever, but even with strict policies they can’t afford to keep doing it.
