About Me
Posted under UncategorizedI have had a computer since I was 9 years old. My first computer was a Kaypro Lugable with 16k of ram and an 8 inch floppy drive, that my uncle gave me. It had basic and fortran. The OS was cp/m. Back then there wasn’t any commercial games. So if i wanted to play games, I had to write them. My first game I wrote was pyramid solitaire game. By the time I was 12 I was writing 6510 assembly language on the commodore 64. Since, I have had a great number of computers, from an IBM XT, Commodore Amiga, 286, 386 to my dual core system today.
I have written programs in a wide variety of languages. My favorite language is pascal. Although I have written programs in C, Perl, PHP, Assembly, Javascript, Basic, Forth, Fortran, and variety of older scripting languages that are now obsolete.
I have been on the internet for a very long time. I had a friend who was the mainframe system admin for SIU. SIU was 3rd behind MIT and Berkley for university internet acces. He started a private bulletin board with access to the Usenet News. I was on the internet with my commodore 64 and 300 baud modem.
I have worked as tech support for a small ISP, all the way up to the corporate systems administrator for a world wide television network. My website lead the christian television industry for 4 1/2 years.
I am still a big usenet fan. My favorite groups being rec.humor.funny, alt.binaries.*, and alt.crafts.*.
I like scifi and horror movies. My favorite being the Matrix. What more could a nerd ask for? A hacker becomes the savior of the human race.
I do read a lot. Mostly “How To” books. I also like to read philosophy, true crime, and spy novels.
