Portable Version of WinFF

WinFF is now available in a portable version from WinPenPack. Just Unzip and start using it.

WinFF 1.1

WinFF 1.1 is released today. The Windows Installer is available. Linux too follow shortly.

Thanks to Alex Klepatsch for the new icons and logo.

Each preset now remembers the output folder last used, so your Ipod files can always go to one place and your Neuros OSD to another. Fixed importing presets from the command line.

Added a nice new chunk of presets including Nokia, Iphone, Google’s Andriod, Sony Walkman, high quality mpeg4, and others. Thanks to the Synthgunt Project, JNavas, and others for the new presets.

openSUSE

openSUSE may just be the best platform for WinFF (yes, even easier than windows).  The easiest to install. Linux’s superior UTF-8 handling. It works right of the box with just one click.

Viruses in “Hacked”, “Cracked” WinFF

I have been finding site that say they have serial numbers, cracks, full version, etc.. of WinFF, and every one of them especially on P2P networks are viruses.

There is no such thing. There is no serial required or nags screens to be removed in WinFF. WinFF is Free and Open Source Software. A copy of winff can’t be stolen, because , it’s free.

Clean virus free versions can be obtained from Google Code and WinFF.org. If you don’t download from these, at least use a reputable source.

Test version for international characters

The test executable for international character in windows didn’t work.

So, it has been removed.

and Ofcourse linux still does not suffer from this problem
